Murdered: Soul Suspect was one of the free downloadable game Games with Gold on the Xbox. I love games like this, so decided to download it and played non-stop for about 6 hours.
If you liked LA Noir that came out a few years ago, you’ll enjoy this game.
It’s based in a town called Salem. The story starts with a cut scene with sees Ronan, a thug-turned-cop, murdered in the street by a hooded figure. The story then goes on to show you him discovering he is dead after talking to a ghostly girl. She informs him that he must have unfinished business that keeps his soul from passing.
Ronan needs to figure out who killed him. Throughout the game, you’ll possess people to gain information, investigate crime scenes and kill demons. There’s also side quests and collectables to keep your attention along the way.
The game is by no means perfect – fighting the demons can be more of a annoyance that keeps you getting on in the game than a challenge and there are a few hiccups in the design, but apart from that, it’s an interesting game to keep your interest if you enjoy puzzle type games.
I’m glad I downloaded this and look forward to getting to the end. It’s worth a play if you’re looking for something new to keep your mind busy.
This sounds right up my street! I loved LA Noire years ago, I’ll deffo check this out.
